Founded by pharma industry marketing professionals (from both client and agency side), knowledge of the roles and sectors we work in is key to how Carrot operates, oh and in case we forgot to mention it..we love what we do and our enthusiasm has got us noticed! We are REC Members and our consultants take the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice as part of their training. We are please to say all our consultants who have taken the exam have passed with flying colours!

We were set up by Martin and Debbie Anderson way back in 2006. Neither of them had a background in recruitment but both had worked in the pharma industry and both knew that the recruitment industry could do better in this niche area. And simply put that’s what makes Carrot different.
We focus on roles where we’ve had personal experience in the past. This means that we understand very clearly what our clients are looking for and are well placed to provide our candidates with a very knowledgeable service.
We involve ourselves very much in the industry by attending and sponsoring industry seminars, attending conferences and contributing articles to publications such as PME Magazine, Pharmatimes and Research. We really embrace digital technology and love experimenting with the new augmented reality capabilities in our advertising and marketing material. (If you are interested we can send you some stuff we have done!)
Great relationships with clients and candidates are really important to us. So we make sure we are really well networked and run our own nights for the industry where recruitment is not on the agenda...just a good old chin wag. Our thoughts on this are, the better we get to know you, the better we can perform for you.
We are proud that our enthusiasm has got us noticed and were shortlisted for two awards at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence in 2009: ‘Best Healthcare Recruiter’ and ‘Best Small Recruitment Agency to Work for’. We also won Best Niche Agency at the MARA2010 Awards and were shortlisted as Best Client Service at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2011. We recently picked up Best Client and Candidate Experience at the Institute of Recruitment Professionals 2011.
