What are your greatest weaknesses? A popular response is to use an old weakness that you've improved on, or wishing you were even stronger in a particular aspect without indicating any real weakness.

When working in a team do you typically assume a particular role and what is that?

How do you organise your week/day?

Give me an example of a particularly challenging project and how you overcame the key problems?

How would you describe the work environment of your current employer?Tell me a little about yourself.

Why did you leave [company X]?

(Later in the interview) How does our vacancy compare with others you've applied for recently?

What do you want to be doing in 5 years' time?

How would others describe you? This could be friends, colleagues, your boss and one interviewer even asked "how would your enemies describe you?"

What are your interests outside of work?

What is your current salary? What are you looking for financially? Some recommend you avoid these money questions if you can, we suggest honesty in terms of the current package. Don't forget to include substantial benefits. Only if pertinent, you could state that you are expecting an increase of a certain amount so that they can bear this in mind for future negotiations. If you have to quote what you are looking for financially, we've found that using target figures rather than "I won't accept less than ..." to be more acceptable. Move on from the money question as soon as you can.
