Martin Anderson

Best part of your job: For me it's probably the camaraderie in the office. We have a great bunch here and all get on really well with lots of good banter. We work pretty hard but there's always lots of laughs along the way. It's a nice place to work.

Worst part of your job: Having to put up with the smell of Matt's sardine and mackerel salad lunches! The whole place reeks for hours. We've tried to ban him from eating fish but he's having none of it!

Favourite day out: The best day out would probably be a mixture of friends and family, maybe a nice relaxing game of golf on a summers morn' followed by an afternoon BBQ which meanders into the evening and beyond! Messing around with the kids in the garden, sharing some good food and some good banter with close friends - marvellous!

Favourite outfit and why: I'm a bloke and I'm not sure it's cool to say I have a 'favourite outfit', however on the odd occassion I like to don the old kilt for a special occasion. Lovely knees!

Favourite room in your house and why: I like the look of the kitchen the best but I spend most time in the lounge so not sure I have a favourite room as such. We're renovating a new property which will have a cinema room with a projector and big screen for the all important movies and sport so that will definately be my favourite room.

What did you want to be when you grew up: I had no idea whatsoever - still don't know what to do when I grow up!

Your style icon: Don't have one!

Biggest Influence: Hard to say really, don't think I've been massively influenced by anyone so probably more a mix of people and events that have happened throughout my life.

What’s on your bedside table: Three books, a new Tony Parsons one, a kind of scary murder fiction, ironically by a lady named Karin Slaughter (!) and a very interesting book on the batttle of Britain (I know, how sad!)

Favourite Film: It would probably still be Trainspotting. I love British films but don't watch enough movies to be honest so not really up on the latest stuff.

Biggest ambition: No massive ambitions really, just to have a healthy and happy family and to maintain a good balance between work and life, allowing me to spend time with Debs, Alfie and our new arrival, little Ava Millie.

Favourite book: Oh, I was going to say Trainspotting again but all the Irvine Welsh books are pretty good, particularly Marabou Stork Nightmares although I did really enjoy Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

Favourite place you’ve ever visited and why: Prior to having Alfie, Debs and I treated ourselves to a holiday in the Maldives and it was just amazing. I thought I'd be bored but it was just so idyllic and relaxing with some brilliant scuba dives and unbelievable food. Expensive of course but worth it!

If you could have a super power, what would it be: Beam me up Scotty!

What is your favourite food: Oh, fillet steak please, medium rare, pepper sauce and thin chips. Thanks very much. And a nice glass of red!

If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you want with you: Scuba gear to pass the time (does that count as one thing?!), sun cream (I assume it is a warm desert island and of course it is important to protect one's skin), and err... a football!

What's your most prized possession: Can't think of a prized possession really.. - do children count as possessions? I guess not. err. My house?

You can invite 3 people, dead or alive, to dinner. Who do you pick: Oh err.. tricky. Peter Kay (for laughs), Stephen Fry (or Dan) for knowledge and Hitler (so I could ask him WHY!?)

Other than working, what do you spend most of your time doing: Messing about with Alfie and Ava, Normally we'll chill in front of the TV but often we're doing a bit of work, catching up on emails etc. Seeing friends, socialising, cleaning, playing golf.
