Research Director or aspiring Associate Director – Pharmaceutical Market Research - Oxford

An experienced Research Director is sought. A boutique research agency, specialising in pharmaceutical and healthcare market research is seeking a senior-level key member of staff to support existing business as help achieve their plans to develop in 2010.

The company, 20 years old, is a well known provider of market research solutions, and offers excellence to clients spanning ethical pharma, medical device companies, OTC pharma, and consumer manufacturers working in healthcare. The mainstay of business though is healthcare, and they are keen to take on somebody who has a deep understanding of this field from a market research perspective. The role will involve working alongside the Managing director to develop and implement a company strategy, develop new business, and develop offerings in new fields. Whilst not a board level post, the Research Director will at times be invited to participate at board level.

 Managing client accounts will be an important part of the role; you will have involvement in projects, particularly during client facing stages, and will lead projects to ensure maximum satisfaction. You will also have the opportunity to manage, lead, and develop a team.

We’re looking for somebody:

-           With experience of working at a senior level within pharmaceutical market research (Eg, already at Director level, or as an Associate Director)

-           Good understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

-           Experience of working across the research spectrum (ie, from pitching for new business and writing proposals, through to client delivery).

-           An understanding of a number of different therapy areas.
