Medical Editor - Leading Global Medical Communications Agency - Oxford
An opportunity has arisen with a global medical communications agency, who specialise in strategic consultancy and communication expertise, for a Medical Editor to join their growing team based in Oxford.
The main responsibilities will be Editing of all content for language, grammar, flow and style.Also to ensure that key messages and objectives are addressed and suggest improvements to the writer, e.g. if any omissions are detected or if the style or level of the item is not suitable for its intended use or for the target audience, amend materials in line with comments received from colleagues, clients or KOLs and understand industry guidelines (e.g. CONSORT, Good Publication Practice, ABPI Code of Practice) and their relevance to the materials that are produced.
This position will involve Project Management in conjunction with the Commercial team, developing and maintaining project schedules and ensuring that all deadlines are met and assisting with specification and cost estimates for clients and assisting with publication planning at all stages from research of the therapy area to plan management and execution.
The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level in a life science subject and have a good eye for detail and sound proof reading and editing skills, along with a positive, can do attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
