Account Director in Healthcare Communications - Our award-winning client, a healthcare communications integrated agency, is seeking an Account Director to join their established team in their fabulous Central London based offices. This fantastic opportunity offers the chance to work on a broad range of multi-channel projects across several clients within the pharmaceutical industry. Could this be the next move for you?

The Role

As Account Director you will be responsible for their accounts throughout the project lifecycle, from scope through to final delivery and ongoing governance, including:

  • Planning, supervising and managing multiple digital projects at regional, national and global levels

  • Be responsible for delivering to the highest standards within the constraints of scope, quality, time, risk and budget

  • Manage overall coordination of digital applications development projects; from planning through to implementation - managing and driving multiple projects simultaneously

  • Setting project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables schedules in collaboration with account teams

  • Line Management responsibilities and mentoring of more junior account handlers

  • Play a lead role in pitching and new business development.

 

You

This Agency is looking for:

  • Previous account handling experience as a SAM or AD managing the working on a broad range of accounts in an agency environment, preferably from a healthcare communications background.

  • A minimum of a bachelor's or equivalent degree in a life science degree

  • Agile development experience and knowledge and love of Lean methodology

Speaking to candidates and clients on a daily basis allows me to keep up-to-date with changes and news in my industry. I also find LinkedIn groups and professional journals are invaluable for keeping on top of industry topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Tim Burton's Big Fish has to be my go-to film of choice. An over the top, fantastical and emotional story of epic proportions full of weird and quirky touches...escapism at it's finest!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

If I could invent one thing it would be to make the Replicator from Star Trek a reality - I love food but hate cooking after a busy day in the office so this would be ideal!
