They are currently in 'build mode' in their London office and are looking to add someone at experienced level within Market Access to lead their Market Access Strategy & Value Communications capabilities.

The Role

Taking over a small but experienced team you will be responsible for leading and being the main point of contact for projects and my client's other UK Office as well as their clients in the UK and Europe. It's important that you have experience in leading Market Access Projects, organising and managing Market Access Project Deliverables and being a key point of contact for any related Market Access queries.

There is an element of Line & Team Management to the role as well so developing the skills and capabilities of the team internally will also be a focus of the role.

It's important that you are an experienced Market Access Consultant / Senior Market Access with a strong Consulting or Pharma background. However, you do not need to be at Associate Director already, my client will look at candidates looking to make that step up as well.

Key base experience for anyone looking to apply needs to be the following:

  • Experience leading Market Access Projects across Market Access Strategy & Value Communications.
  • Experience managing and leading a small team of Analysts & Consultants.
  • You need to be commercial savvy and understand the importance of building & developing long term client relationships.
  • A relevant Life Sciences Degree will also be required.

What should you do next?

This company have established capabilities across the Market Access and HEOR and this is a great opportunity for someone ready to make that step up into a Senior Market Access Leadership position. Please get in touch if this sounds like you!

Unless otherwise stated, if applying for a job within the European Union, you must ensure that you are already authorised to work there. Carrot Pharma Recruitment Ltd acts as an Employment Business and an Employment Agency on behalf of our client in recruitment for this role.

Chris Costello

Which team and area do you work/specialise in?

I work in the Market Access and Health Economics Team at Carrot providing services across a range of companies with Market Access and Health Economics Capabilities. There is an ever-growing list of skills within these sectors covering Real World Evidence, Health Outcomes and Patient Centered Outcomes amongst others.

What are some of the typical roles you cover?

The typical roles that I tend to cover are Market Access Consultant, Senior Market Access Consultant, Market Access Manager / Director, Health Economist, Senior Health Economist, Health Economics Manager, Health Economics Director alongside roles such as HEOR Consultant & Manager, Real World Evidence Consultant & Patient Centered Outcomes Consultant.

What are the hot issues in your sector currently?

Without doubt the amount of and potential use of Real-World Data & Real-World Evidence is leading to a lot of companies investing heavily in the hope of utilising this data. This is leading to huge advancements in Healthcare Technology in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms which will dramatically alter Healthcare over the coming years.

This is alongside Pharma companies working with various country specific regulators to combat an ever-ageing population, increased demands on national budgets and the need for increased collaboration across local and regional levels.

What’s makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

Recruitment is a very transient industry and people tend to stay in the same area, company or market for too long. I take an active interest in my area and try to ensure that the relationships I build are sustainable and aren’t built off short term motivations.
