The Role

Associate Medical Director on the global healthcare communications team of this forward thinking and innovative Clinical Research Organisation in Berkshire.

  • Provide strategic direction and team leadership across large multi-faceted communication programmes, working with colleagues specialising in medical affairs, commercialisation, market access and real-world insights.

  • Direct the development of high-quality, full-service communication activities and materials.

  • Lead meetings with stakeholders, facilitate workshops and expert advisory meetings.

  • Scientific and clinical expert in the development of proposals and pitches.

  • Therapy areas include rare diseases, immunology, nephrology and Osteoporosis.

  • Main deliverables are medical education content and congress activity (symposia and booths), patient engagement, adherence and support programmes, publications, joint working initiatives with the NHS and Educational grants.



From a medical writing background, you will enjoy involvement in client strategy and the leadership of a medical team.

  • Experience across a variety of medical communications solutions for a range of audiences, to include publication planning, symposium and exhibition materials, educational and training aids, pitch presentations and promotional materials.

  • Able to coach, support and provide direction to the team

  • Monitor outputs, ensure quality, compliance, appropriateness and profitability.

  • Familiarity with research tools and approaches, such as reference management and publication planning databases.
