The Role

Associate Medical Writer - Full Training - Med Comms - Oxford

Rare opportunity for PhD graduates to receive full training and kick start their Medical Communications careers! Work closely with senior team members and directors within a supportive, close-knit team environment.

The Role

As Associate Medical Writer you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the development of scientific and editorial content (promotional material, conference highlights, videos, case studies, education modules)

  • Attend internal update meetings and join the wider team on onsite client meetings

  • Develop an understanding of key industry guidelines

  • Opportunity to travel national and internationally for medical conferences

To be considered for this Associate Medical Writer role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Educated to PhD - essential

  • Basic scientific writing skills gained from education or employment

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The desire to progress in a career in Medical Writing in Medical Communications

I specialise in attracting and resourcing high calibre candidates for junior level Medical Communications teams.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I keep up-to-date using groups on LinkedIn and by keeping in regular contact with people currently working in the industry. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I love films, so there's far too many to choose from! If I had to pick one it would probably be the Harry Potter series. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd invent a machine that made me a coffee as soon as I woke up - that would make getting out of bed much easier!

I like to treat everyone as an individual and feel my psychology degree has helped me gain an insight into different people's perspective and motivations.
