How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Medical Writer - Creative Healthcare Agency - Maidenhead - £45k

The Role

Due to continued growth and new business wins, my client is looking for a Medical Writer / Senior Medical Writer to join their successful editorial team. You will work on a team consisting of 4 other medical writers and sit as part of a wider creative team. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching various therapy areas to gain an in-depth understanding of allocated brands and disease areas

  • Bringing scientific content to life through working closely with science writers and an award-winning creative team.

  • Becoming a key contact for pharma companies and developing strong working relationships with clients and medical teams.

  • Take part in new business development and pitching

  • Work closely with project management teams to manage workload and prioritise tasks in line with project timings.



You will be an experienced scientific writer and have a passion for communicating complex scientific information to a range of audiences. You will have 2 years writing experience, a strong life science degree along with the following:

  • The ability to learn and apply new skills and scientific information

  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen eye for detail and sound proof reading and editing skills.

  • A high level of proficiency in standard software packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
