Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

The Role

As a Territory Manager working for this company, you will have an almost unique opportunity to maintain close contact with patients through surgical procedure and subsequent Community-based care. This allows you to see clearly how your products make a massive difference to patient wellbeing and lifestyle on an ongoing basis.

  • Products: Laryngectomy and tracheostomy devices, plus subsequent prescription products delivered by the company's DAC service.

  • Territory: North London, Berkshire, Oxon, Bucks, Herts, Bedfordshire

  • Sales Environment: Hospitals (Theatre) and the Community.

  • Customers: Hospitals - ENT Surgeons, Head & Neck Specialists, Speech & Language Therapists, Ward Nurses, Procurement. Community - Speech & Language Therapists, Community Nurses.

 

You

  • You will be an experienced healthcare Territory Manager who has successfully sold products within both the hospital and Community settings.

  • You will also be the type of person who is looking to work autonomously, who can run their territory as if their own business and crucially, who wants to see that what they are doing is making a very real difference to patients' lives.

  • A large part of this role involves working closely, and on an on-going basis, with patients as well as Clinicians.
