Healthcare Communications.

Which area do you specialise in?
Medical Communications and Medical Education 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too. 

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent? 
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

Account Manager - Healthcare Communications Agency - Buckinghamshire - Up to £40K Depending on experience

 

The Company

After continued growth throughout 2015 and a record start to 2016 this independent Healthcare Communications agency are looking to expand the team with several new hires.

  • They're an agency well known to Carrot and following a thorough catch up meeting in their lovely office space we're eager to speak with account handling professionals.

  • Independent agency, able to implement changes with ease

  • Listen to their staff - ask employees to be actively involved in the strategy behind the agency

  • Therapy areas include Haematology, Breast cancer, Urology, Diabetes and HIV - to name a few

  • Key projects include; Integrated digital channel programmes, Stand-alone meetings, Satellite meetings, Key opinion leader and advocacy management, Advisory boards and consensus meetings

  • Some superb client wins this year including a particularly large account

 

The Role

  • Opportunity to be involved in the creation of content for meetings - not actual 'writing' but an involvement in how this is achieved

  • Ensure that project plans/timelines and also budget are in place effectively and on time

  • Developing a clear understanding of the brand and medical education strategy for clients

  • Briefing and liaising with the brands Key Opinion Leaders Actively involved in the development/proposal process

 

You

  • Excellent account handing skills

  • Proven experience of managing and maximising revenue and profit from existing accounts

  • Commercial acumen

  • Effective project management skills

  • Able to work as part of a high performing team
