How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line! 



The Role

Business Development Executive working for a Business Insights company within the pharmaceutical sector. You will be working with market research agencies and some pharma clients. This is not a 'traditional' business development role and you will have access to a whole host of additional tools to help you within this role.

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be an integral part of the growth of the company. Your role is not a traditional cold calling business development role. The aim is to incorporate all the tools you have at your disposal to demonstrate how unique the company is, you will also be given some creative free reign to trial innovative ideas. Your role will consist of:

  • Initiating and managing targeted email campaigns

  • Proactive outreach with clients, from the initial inception, proposals/presentations 

  • Building marketing assets/credentials (mainly PowerPoint) to showcase services and tools

  • Overseeing occasional digital marketing activities, including website updates/developments, SEO, newsletters, social media etc.

  • Generally, support the team in all its various day-to-day activities and initiatives, in a proactive and enthusiastic manner



This role will be a great fit for anyone who has a passion for business development and a creative flair, you will need to be a confident and clear communicator who enjoys engaging with clients (new and existing). You:

  • Will need to be a university undergraduate (2.1 minimum)

  • Ideally have experience of working within a business development role within the pharma market research sector.

  • Experience of using Microsoft office programmes Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment

  • Will need a strong work ethic and real attention to detail.
