The Role

A Business Development Manager for a leading Fieldwork provider. This opportunity is homebased but travelling to meet with clients will be required and occasionally you will need to go to offices for key meetings.

  • Decades of experience and have a fantastic reputation in the sector and they have successfully delivered over 5000 projects.

  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research

  • Allow employees to work autonomously and this position will be home based.

  • They work on both domestic and international research projects

 

The Role

The role will be varied from managing existing relationships, planning new business activities, writing bids. There is a huge potential to sell to an uncapped pool.

  • Identifying, sourcing and reaching out to prospective clients

  • selling the benefits of using the company compared to others in a highly competitive sector

 

You

Ideal role for a candidate with proven sales experience. You will be a hunter and a strategic thinker with a real passion for new business and increasing company growth.

  • Ideally at least 3 years' experience of selling fieldwork services within the market research sector

  • Knowledge of pharma sector

  • Hard working, passionate and resilient- these are all key skills to be successful in this sort of position

  • An understanding of the market research process and how a good fieldwork provider can alleviate potential pain points.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!
