Our well known and well-established client are currently recruiting for a Senior Observational Research Analyst to join their fantastic team in South Manchester. The Role

The role will be working within the Real World Evidence side of the business. This is an opportunity for someone to join a fantastic growing department and gain exposure to a range of projects. You will:

  • Conduct observational/non-interventional studies utiliting worldwide secondary data sources. This will include longitudinal cohort studies and case-control studies

  • Work closely with the project lead

  • Work with clients to understand their needs and identify evidence generation solutions

  • Project lead throughout all stages including third parties, external agencies, KOL's, Data holders etc

  • Support the completion of final research reports and presentation of the studies

  • Authorship of publications



In order to apply for the role as Senior Observational Analyst (Secondary Data) you must:

  • Have 2 years experience of conducting secondary data studies using data such as: Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD), HES, Public Health England etc.

  • Be experienced with data manipulation software ideally STATA

  • Have a good level of interpersonal skills and a willingness to diverse yourself to work with other teams across the business

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I think the best way is by speaking to candidates and clients regularly. I also keep up-to-date with newsletters and social media in the industry. 

What's your favourite film and why?

My favourite film is probably Men of Honor - such a classic! Another favourite film is Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I just find it hilarious...and Mila Kunis is alright too!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I think the robot from Avatar would be a good addition to my life.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I think most of my friends and family would say I am not like most people my age. I like to challenge myself and I hope this will help me recruit some quality candidates.
