Healthcare Development Manager, Medium global pharma company, East & West Midlands, £competitive

 

The Company

This role is working for a medium sized Global Pharmaceutical company with a fantastic current product portfolio and a strong pipeline. They are currently looking for a creative and results driven Healthcare Development Manager to add to their current successful team as an additional head to work on market access for an existing portfolio and new product launch.

 

The Role

  • You will be tasked with covering a broad range of market access responsibilities including launching a brand-new product into primary and secondary care.
  • You will also improve access to the existing portfolio which included products for primary care and specialist secondary care across two different therapy areas.
  • You will drive inclusion on formularies in line with the account plans and overall brand strategy.
  • You will generate freedom to prescribe within the health economy by securing funding across the territory.
  • You will ensure a high value perception of the range of the product within payers' minds!
  • You will network with all relevant stakeholders at both local and regional level that have an impact on patient access.
  • You will achieve targets against market access objectives by developing and implementing a regional access business plan.

 

You

  • To be considered for this role, you must be experienced in a dedicated market access role and worked as a Healthcare Development Manager (or similar) for a least 2 years.
  • You will be able to build and manage strong partnerships with the stakeholders that are involved in the decision-making process. E.g. medicines management personnel, high cost drugs leads, commissioners, formulary/prescribing committee members etc. And you will be able to interact effectively and influence all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • You will ideally have a background of working with biologics or high cost drugs and a solid understanding of how high cost drugs are funded within the NHS.
  • You will be a strong team player with an impressive track record of results.
  • You will ideally be based near Birmingham as this is a key account for the role.
  • You MUST have the ABPI.
