Experienced Medical Editor - Award- Winning Medical Communications Agency - Cheshire - Up to £35k DoE

The Role

This Experienced Medical Editor opportunity will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting other team members in the handling and completion of publication outputs.
  • Providing project management support.
  • Assisting the timely delivery of content both by accounts teams and writers by processing material according to production schedules and liaising with the studio to create final outputs.
  • Attending project status meetings to take notes for the team if required.
  • Adhering to procedures involved in the production of materials, including coordinating proofreading and other tasks relevant to the quality assurance of the publication outputs.

 

You

  • A degree (and possibly Masters) in arts, language, communications or linguistics
  • Considerable experience editing a broad range of materials, including digital content
  • Experience in delivering projects to tight deadlines
  • Worked in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring others, as well as reviewing others' work
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm, a passion to learn and the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills

I specialise in attracting and resourcing high calibre candidates for junior level Medical Communications and Medical Education teams.

And on the Editorial side I work on: Editorial Assistant jobs, Medical Editor jobs, Associate Medical Writer jobs, and Medical Writer jobs.

I keep up-to-date using groups on LinkedIn and by keeping in regular contact with people currently working in the industry. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I love films, so there's far too many to choose from! If I had to pick one it would probably be the Harry Potter series. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd invent a machine that made me a coffee as soon as I woke up - that would make getting out of bed much easier!
