The Role

Fieldwork Manager - Leading Market Research Agency - Oxford - £30k - £40k

I am currently recruiting for a role as a Fieldwork Manager for a leading market research agency based in Oxford. The role is varied and it will be managing teams across pharma and consumer market research. No day will be the same and you will be able to get hands on working with projects as well as managing a successful team.

The Role

The role of fieldwork manager is going to be working across both qualitative and quantitative fieldwork teams. Your primary role will be to help steer the fieldwork team, interviewers and supervisors.

  • You will need pull to from your experiences to make informed decisions and see through problems to a conclusion.

  • You will need to be a clear communicator and be comfortable leading a team and motivating them to perform.

  • You will also be working directly on projects, so experience of market research across multiple sectors is key.

  • Working in collaboration with other parts of the operations group.

  • You will work closely with the research teams and give advice on costings and deliverable as well as being an overall port of call for any fieldwork queries.



My client is looking for a well organised team player who can excel in this role. To be successful as Fieldwork Manager you will be:

  • Commercially astute.

  • Ambitious and self-confident.

  • A Senior Project Manager/Fieldwork Manager in a full-service market research agency working on both qualitative and quantitative projects.

  • Experienced in issue resolution and trouble shooting.

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!
