Medical Communications and Medical Education 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too. 

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent? 
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

The Company

Something a bit different available here! An independent Medical Communications agency are looking for somebody to join the business at a crucial stage. They're looking for an Account Director to take on several accounts and assist with the growth and development of the business. There is plenty of scope with this role sitting on the board of directors in 18-24 months' time, taking the lead of the direction of the agency.

The Role

  • Business Development will be important in this role, with candidates expected to develop and drive new business

  • Take the lead on several key accounts for the business

  • Assist with the growth and development of the account team, working closely with the other Directors

  • Ensuring all project as delivered to the highest standard and one time, within budget

  • Manage and motivate a team to deliver top quality Medical Communication

 

You

  • Motivated to drive new business for the agency, growing existing accounts too

  • Solid record of accomplishment in Healthcare/Medical Communications

  • Able to work as part of a flexible Medical Communications agency, willing to go the extra mile

  • Experienced with analytical, enquiring, insightful and strategic thinking skills
