I work in the Market Research and Business Intelligence team

Which area do you specialise in?

Junior level Market Research and Fieldwork

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!

Our Manchester based ad-hoc full-service market research agency client is looking for a (Senior) Research Manager starting on £28k - £38k.

The Role

This (Senior) Research Manager role will involve managing or leading (Senior RM level) complex qual/quant projects and your day to day tasks will include:

  • Writing proposals and helping to win projects.

  • Develop and manage client relationships, being a clear point of contact.

  • Managing junior team members and helping out where needed.

  • Providing 'added value' to presentation documents.

  • Helping to deliver presentations back to clients following project completion.

  • Carry out questionnaire design, analysis, recruitment/topic guide design and moderation where needed.

 

You

If this (Senior) Research Manager role sounds like just what you were looking for, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Comfortable working on qualitative and quantitative research projects.

  • Strong level of experience managing ad-hoc, primary market research projects.

  • Excellent understanding of all aspects of the research process

  • Experience leading projects independently would be beneficial.

  • Effective and confident communicator.
