Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in mid to senior level appointments across all disciplines within the Market Access / HEOR field. I manage roles both on the permanent and interim basis. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

First and foremost, we are kept up to date by speaking day in, day out to candidates and clients alike - information from an internal perspective is highly valuable to us in terms of gauging how best to approach resourcing. Reading industry press and engaging in online discussions certainly keeps us on top of wider topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I have many favourite films: Home Alone at Christmas time, any James Bond films (especially Skyfall) for a bit of action but, ultimately, I LOVE How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Maybe not the best film ever but one that reminds me of really good times with all my best friends. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I have yet to find anything that keeps my young daughter still and engaged for over 5 minutes, so my invention would be a remote control-style device that allows me to pause her in time - allowing me to make and enjoyably drink a full cup of tea with no distractions!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

One of my little fingers is 7mm shorter than the other!


The Role

Technical Director - Health Economics. Bespoke Health Economics Consultancy, Hertfordshire. £70k - £90k + bonus and package.


The Company

This company is a niche provider of Health Economics services to the Pharma, Biotech and Healthcare industries. They have seen success in their field over the last few years and are now in a position to enter the next phase of growth and development - this really is an exciting time to be part of a close-knit and highly skilled outfit!


The Role

In position as Technical Director, you will work to lead and project manage deliverable to clients within the Healthcare Industry. This will include:

  • Ensuring outstanding quality both in terms of both technical and strategic content. This role will have project delivery sign off responsibility.

  • Managing, leading and mentoring junior members of the team to develop their skills within Health Economics.

  • Reviewing internal development of peer-reviewed publications/presentations and attending and presenting at external meetings including conferences and HTA committee meetings.

  • Actively contributing to the continued growth of the business via new business initiatives and retention of current relationships.



In order to be considered for the role of Technical Director - Health Economics you must be able to demonstrate:

  • MSc in Health Economics, Medical Statistics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or Econometrics, or equivalent

  • Outstanding knowledge and hands on experience in financial models, burden of disease models, cost-effectiveness models, pricing models, systematic reviews, direct/network meta-analysis, survival/statistical analyses, budget impact models, value dossiers, HTA submissions, scientific publications, policy and opinion papers amongst others.

  • Prior experience at managerial level within Consultancy - managing and mentoring more junior members of staff.

  • Experience of managing and delivering Health Economic projects to clients within the Pharma/Healthcare space.

  • Business development experience - including proposal and pitch delivery.
