The Role

Interim Clinical Operations Consultant - Global Pharma Company - South East - Initial 6 Month Contract - £Highly Competitive Day Rate

The Company

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a focus on research and development of medical treatments for patients with life-threatening illnesses like cancer, infection, and urgent transplants. They are looking for an interim Clinical Operations Consultant to join their office in Surrey on an initial 6 month contract.

The Role

  • Working in a matrix with Procurement, Legal, Therapeutic Area Leads and Clinical Research Physicians
  • Approximately 15 projects ongoing, ranging from prospective interventional trails to retrospective database analysis for health economic purposes
  • You will be managing a team of four Study Managers plus one Clinical Trial Assistant
  • Day to day operational and people management
  • Resource planning and budget management
  • CRO interactions
  • Monthly study review meeting to be executed together with a colleague, Clinical Study Director



This role is a 6-month contract; therefore, you will need to be a competent individual who is able to hit the ground running.

  • Experience of people management, at least one year
  • Experience of working on clinical trials, including Phase III and IV
  • The role is based in Surrey, experience of working in the UK is essential
  • You will have natural leadership ability with a proven ability to work as both part of a team and independently. You will demonstrate diplomacy, excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong customer-oriented mindset
