Internal Market Research Data Consultant

£45k - £60k DOE | London |  Business intelligence/secondary analytics, Market research agency/consultancy |  Permanent  | Ref:887062

The Role

Internal Data Consultant, £45k - £60k, Central London

The Company

My client is a primary market research agency at heart, but with multiple ad hoc and syndicated specialisms. As a truly global company, they are at the forefront of market research consulting and innovation. Experts in multiple industries, they have a wealth of pharmaceutical knowledge in a number of different countries.

The Role

This role is unusual - not one you'll find in many MR agencies. You'll be working for an internal analytics unit that supports all of the company's healthcare teams globally, with advanced analytics and data science. However, you won't be number crunching but instead you will be:

  • Advising and consulting with multiple teams and stakeholders. You will need to be knowledgeable about different data sources, structures and applications, and how to merge different data sources to create insight

  • Helping to prepare proposals, creating methodologies and demonstrating the teams capabilities to a variety of clients

  • Guiding the creating of an indexed RWE database

  • The go-to person for internal custom and syndicated teams specialising in healthcare. It's all about adding value to the projects.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Confident and communicative - this is certainly a client facing role. You will be facilitating collaboration across numerous internal teams, so expect to be spinning a few plates simultaneously

  • Knowledgeable about market research in general. You'll need to 'get' primary MR, secondary research and RWE.

  • Know how to act as a 'consultant'. Hands on project work? Advising from afar? Problem solving? Answering client queries? It's all involved!

What should you do next?

This Internal Data Consultant job is a great role and won't be around for long! So don't delay. If you are unsure and need some advice, give me a ring, otherwise just click apply, upload your CV and send, it's really that easy!

Unless otherwise stated, if applying for a job within the European Union, you must ensure that you are already authorised to work there. Carrot Pharma Recruitment Ltd acts as an Employment Business and an Employment Agency on behalf of our client in recruitment for this role.

Matt Goldrick

Which team do you work in?
I work in the Market Research and Business Intelligence team.

Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in senior market research roles, working with a variety of PMR agencies and consultancies. I also work with our pharma company clients, covering market insight/business intelligence positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

With a well established network of clients and candidates, keeping up to date with industry news is usually quite straightforward! Alongside speaking to those directly involved in the industry, I spend time browsing relevant industry websites and reading articles on LinkedIn

What's your favourite film and why?
I would probably say either the Batman Dark Knight trilogy or the Bourne Films. I think Christopher Nolan's a great director and I really like the premise of the Bourne films - I love a good conspiracy theory!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
Maybe Bernard's Watch...?

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
This is a tough one! I'm going to go for a couple of clichéd statements - my never-say-die attitude and the fact I'm the most organised recruitment consultant you'll meet. I've a folder for everything!
