Which team do you work in?

Market Access, Health Economics & Value Comms 

Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in mid to senior level appointments across all disciplines within the Market Access / HEOR field. I manage roles both on the permanent and interim basis. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

First and foremost, we are kept up to date by speaking day in, day out to candidates and clients alike - information from an internal perspective is highly valuable to us in terms of gauging how best to approach resourcing. Reading industry press and engaging in online discussions certainly keeps us on top of wider topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I have many favourite films: Home Alone at Christmas time, any James Bond films (especially Skyfall) for a bit of action but, ultimately, I LOVE How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Maybe not the best film ever but one that reminds me of really good times with all my best friends. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I have yet to find anything that keeps my young daughter still and engaged for over 5 minutes, so my invention would be a remote control-style device that allows me to pause her in time - allowing me to make and enjoyably drink a full cup of tea with no distractions!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

One of my little fingers is 7mm shorter than the other!

The Role

Associate Director, Competitive Financial Package, Buckinghamshire or Central London

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Consultant to step up to Associate Director at a well-respected market access consultancy, with flexibility to work in leafy Buckinghamshire or Central London.

The Company

This market access consultancy is well regarded within the industry and has very low staff turnover – always a good sign! Many senior staff have progressed through the company, so there’s strong development potential. They have a sociable work culture, and they’re part of a larger healthcare group so there’s plenty of cross-functional working.

The Job

As Associate Director – Market Access you will be a key figure, responsible for delivering high quality projects and developing and maintaining client relationships with top pharmaceutical firms.

  • As customer/project lead you’ll deliver high quality projects on time and to budget.

  • Line management and coaching of allocated junior team members.

  • Business development – creating new business and growing current accounts.

  • Develop new products via creative application of existing industry expertise and keeping up to date with changes.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with third parties such as academic institutions and KOLs to ensure that the consultancy has access to top quality intellectual information.

You

To be shortlisted for Associate Director – Market Access you will be a market access consultant or senior consultant with 6+ years of experience and:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, health and social care systems and reimbursement processes in the UK/EU/US.

  • Skills in business development and commercial liaison with stakeholders.

  • Project & line management capabilities.

  • Skills in negotiation and communications.

  • Commercial insight – the ability to create and develop new service offerings for the consultancy.

Additionally you will have a relevant undergraduate degree (pharmacy, life sciences etc) and a Masters’ in Health Economics or an MBA is strongly preferred.
