Which area do you specialise in?
I work across all market research and business intelligence positions

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
I keep up to date with issues in my sector by staying well networked. Our team holds yearly networking events which gives us all a chance to meet with candidate and clients. I also read industry articles and stay well networked on LinkedIn. I think it really helps that I have good relationships with the clients and candidates I work with!

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film has to be all the Matrix films! I love all the martial arts scenes and special effects. I've recently watched the Kill Bill films too, so they're also up there with my favourites!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a machine that makes me unlimited money.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
What makes me distinctly different is that I make sure I understand the motivations of people moving jobs. Understanding motivations can sometimes open up opportunities people hadn't previously thought of.

Business Development Consultant, £25K - £35K DOE + Commission, Central London

Is part of a global organisation providing a variety of information services to the pharmaceutical industry

Has one of the best commission structures in the industry (with consultants typically earning triple their annual salary)

Provide excellent training and development at locations across the globe (Last year's sales conference took place in Vegas!)

 

The Role

As a Business Development Consultant, you will:

  • Work towards daily and monthly targets

  • Build strong and lasting client relationships, selling on a transactional basis

  • Follow up on incoming sales leads promptly and professionally

  • Manage all sales opportunities in CRM

  • Write and issue proposals to clients

  • Keep up to date with all relevant products and industry information

  • Be a skilled listener, able to ask questions to establish client needs and then provide the appropriate information and support to sell the company and their products

 

You

This role will suit you if you: 

  • Are driven, confident and determined

  • Attracted to the challenge of selling

  • Healthcare experience preferable although not essential

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and spoken

  • Proven sales experience
