How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Account Director - Creative Healthcare Communications Agency - London - £50k-£60k


The Company

An award-winning creative advertising agency are looking for the best talent to join their London based team. A company synonymous with creativity and success, they look after accounts in the healthcare and wellness sector and have been responsible for a number of award-winning campaigns in recent times.

An agency working on market leading Rx and OTC accounts offering the chance to work on projects with some excellent brands and major blue-chip companies.

A fantastic company culture with a training-based ethos and senior management committed to investing in development and success.

Brand new open plan offices close to a number of top bars and fantastic restaurants.


The Role

  • As Account Director, you will play a vital part of ensuring the smooth running of the agencies projects.

  • You will be contributing to the overall goal of producing compelling communications for numerous healthcare audiences.

  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients ensuring that communication flows effectively.

  • Set and manage client expectations in terms of timeframes, finances and deliverables.

  • Work closely with project managers and creative staff to plan individual project elements and help bring them together on overall project plans.

  • Attend client meetings, pitches and training as appropriate.

  • Help with the progression and development of junior members of staff.



As an Account Director you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Account Manager and 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • You will have a solid understanding and a real passion for pharmaceutical and health related communications.

  • You will have an intuitive understanding of a client's needs and objectives to assist marketing strategies.

  • Strong people management skills including influencing and nurturing skills.

  • Proven successful new business pitch abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
