How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Account Director - Award Winning Comms Agency - London - £50k-£60k

 

The Company

A specialist communications agency are looking to expand their team, due to winning a number of new accounts and the consistent development of existing healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical technology accounts. With such a wide variety of accounts, they allow their communications professionals to choose and develop their specialisms, through pharmaceuticals or consumer health. They're keen to bring on another Account Director, to be based in their central London office.

The Role

This role will be perfect for a Senior Account Manager or Account Director who has media relations experience but who enjoys the challenge of a more integrated approach that may include medical education, disease awareness, social media campaigns, advertising and plenty of digital- you really will be working in a creative environment.

  • Working on accounts delivering approximately £500k of business, you will be driven, organised and forward-thinking.

  • You will work across a range of UK and global accounts on multiple therapy areas.

  • Lead accounts that could range from ethical pharma to consumer health

  • Assist an Associate Director in the forecasting and phasing of budgets across your accounts

  • Lead by example to ensure client needs are met

 

You

You'll have experience of account handling gained within healthcare PR, with a real interest in working in a more creative, integrated environment. This role will be perfect for a Senior Account Manager or Account Director who has media relations experience but who enjoys the challenge of a more integrated approach. As they are an ambitious agency and you'll be playing a vital role in delivering their award winning campaigns and developing the business further.

  • You will work across a range of UK and global accounts.
