How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Account Manager (Healthcare PR) - Boutique Communications Agency - London - £34k - £40k

 

The Company

A boutique communications agency with the backing of a larger networking group, with over seventy offices worldwide. They are hugely creative, delivering outstanding work for clients worldwide, with a particular focus on healthcare and pharmaceuticals. After an internal restructure, they are looking for an experienced Senior Account Executive to join their team as an Account Manager.

The Role

A successful Account Manager will be expected to:

  • Work closely with clients - taking a leadership role in meetings and effectively managing client relationships

  • Run one or more small accounts as the day-to-day contact

  • Provide strategic and tactical advice on new business programme development

  • Take the lead on developing communications plans and social media strategies

  • Be a leader - be proactive in seeking, initiating and delegating assignments

 

You

In order to be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience within healthcare communications (preferably as an Senior Account Executive or equivalent)

  • Excellent knowledge of the pharma, healthcare and media environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Experience managing a budget

  • Confidence, and the ability to work under pressure
