How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

The best way is to constantly communicate with my candidates, new and old. If something is happening within the industry, candidates are usually the first people to know and voice their opinion.

What's your favourite film and why?

Probably Leon. 12-year-old Natalie Portman learns how to become an assassin from Jean Reno, who has a strange relationship with a potted plant and tries to kill the drug fuelled Gary Oldman. Brilliantly over-the-top.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

Lightsabers – need I say more?

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I formed a record label with a few friends at 18, which expanded massively, and went on to host stages at a couple of national festivals. I didn't realise how valuable it was at the time, but networking with key industry figures and musicians was crucial. Our artists quickly grabbed attention and are currently on tour across Europe. As a huge music aficionado, it’s fantastic knowing we’ve pushed them to that level. Looking back, it’s the same in any industry – networking, knowing your industry leaders, and attending national and international events is key.

The Role

PR Account Director, Global Communications Agency, Central London, £50k-£55k

A health and wellbeing PR consultancy, who are currently in the process of relocating their office to Central London, uniting their Group under one roof. They consistently deliver brilliant Healthcare PR work, and grow year on year, in terms of staff and accounts.

The Role

This role will be perfect for a Senior Account Manager or Account Director who has media relations experience but who enjoys the challenge of a more integrated approach that may include medical education, disease awareness, social media campaigns, advertising and plenty of digital- you really will be working in a creative environment. Working on accounts delivering approximately £500k of business, you will be driven, organised and forward-thinking.

  • You will work across a range of UK and global accounts on multiple therapy areas.

  • Lead accounts that could range from ethical pharma to consumer health

  • Assist an Associate Director in the forecasting and phasing of budgets across your accounts

  • Lead by example to ensure client needs are met 

 

You

You'll have experience of account handling gained within healthcare PR, with a real interest in working in a more creative, integrated environment. This role will be perfect for a Senior Account Manager or Account Director who has media relations experience but who enjoys the challenge of a more integrated approach. As they are an ambitious agency and you'll be playing a vital role in delivering their award winning campaigns and developing the business further.

  • You will work across a range of UK and global accounts.

  • 5 years' healthcare agency experience

  • Experience of pitching new business

  • Solid project management skills

  • Man management experience
