How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

The Role

This Senior Account Director role is key to the success of the agency and will require you to work closely with business leaders to develop award-winning work. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead your accounts teams through exceptional strategic thinking.

  • Ensure the quality of creative concepts and materials produced by the studio meet the brief, are on budget and completed within deadline.

  • Be seen as a key partner for clients acting as a valuable source for advice across a range of marketing issues.

  • Lead, negotiate and play an important role in winning new business pitches

  • Maintain an understanding of relevant codes of practice within advertising/communication within a healthcare market



As well as having a background working in healthcare advertising, having a passion for healthcare communications and a drive to succeed is crucial. Also, to be successful in this role:

  • You will have an ability to make intelligent and informed decisions on behalf of the business, whilst knowing when to escalate issues or decisions to the Managing Director.

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be experienced and confident in presenting and conducting training sessions.

  • You will have Account Director experience from a multichannel Healthcare Communications agency, with good knowledge of digital campaigns, and an interest in digital.

  • You will be enthusiastic about the fact that as a Senior Account Director at this agency you will have a real responsibility in helping them to meet their lofty ambitions and further cement their reputation as a trusted name in this industry.
