How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

The best way is to constantly communicate with my candidates, new and old. If something is happening within the industry, candidates are usually the first people to know and voice their opinion.

What's your favourite film and why?

Probably Leon. 12-year-old Natalie Portman learns how to become an assassin from Jean Reno, who has a strange relationship with a potted plant and tries to kill the drug fuelled Gary Oldman. Brilliantly over-the-top.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

Lightsabers – need I say more?

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I formed a record label with a few friends at 18, which expanded massively, and went on to host stages at a couple of national festivals. I didn't realise how valuable it was at the time, but networking with key industry figures and musicians was crucial. Our artists quickly grabbed attention and are currently on tour across Europe. As a huge music aficionado, it’s fantastic knowing we’ve pushed them to that level. Looking back, it’s the same in any industry – networking, knowing your industry leaders, and attending national and international events is key.

Senior Account Manager - Specialist Healthcare Communications Agency - London - £40,000-£50,000


The Company

My client are an award-winning healthcare communications agency, based centrally in London, whom we've worked with for a number of years, successfully placing with them on numerous occasions. They're heavily focused on strategic communications, branding, medical education and digital marketing, and are currently working with the likes of Amgen, GSK, Novartis and Sirtex. Based upon their continued success, they're looking to add another Senior Account Manager to their Healthcare team.

The Role

Very briefly, they're looking for someone with experience as an Account Manager, who:

  • Develops, with Account Director/Director, strategic and tactical client programmes

  • Demonstrates an ability to apply PR techniques beyond media relations in response to client briefs e.g. familiar with web and viral PR techniques

  • Demonstrates ability to write persuasively, create dynamic presentations and develop/pitch stories effectively

  • Is responsible for journalist relationship-building initiatives within the team across various media sectors



You'll have experience of account handling gained within healthcare PR, with a real interest in working in a more creative, integrated environment This Healthcare Communications Agency is looking for you to have:

  • 3 years healthcare communications experience (with experience at Account Manager level or equivalent)

  • Experience of pitching new business

  • Solid project management skills

  • Man management experience

  • A team mentality
