How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Senior Account Manager - Independent Healthcare Advertising Agency - Central London - £40k-£45k

The Role

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the autonomous leading of multiple projects whilst also developing new business opportunities, nurturing the junior account team and getting the best out of the wider team. Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Ensuring clients are kept up to date with project timelines and status and to lead discussions on changed requirements in regard to budget and timings.

  • Ensuring the creative concepts and materials produced meet the client brief, and are error free.

  • Actively contributing to strategy reviews alongside the Account Director and other senior account team members.

  • Keeping up to date and informed of clinical, regulatory and economic changes that may impact your accounts and raising and addressing any potential issues appropriately with clients and the account team.

  • Taking an active role in supporting the growth and development of other account handlers within the account team.

 

You

As well as a passion for producing compelling communications for healthcare audiences:

  • You should have previous experience in a client-facing role within a healthcare advertising agency setting.

  • You should have experience of organising teams in order to deliver creative campaigns from concept development all the way through to tactical delivery.

  • You should be comfortable producing costing sheets and managing project budgets.

  • You should be able to demonstrate that you exhibit strong client management skills.

  • You should have some experience managing and nurturing the career development of junior account members.
