Medical Communications and Medical Education 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector? 

By keeping lively on LinkedIn, reading articles and posts from thought leaders in the sector, as well as keeping on top of articles from BBC Health, PMLive and similar sites. That, and making sure I am talking to candidates and clients all the time and listening to what they say! The best teachers are those who live their industry on a daily basis. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I'd probably have to go with Shawshank, there's no feelgood ending quite like it and I think we all wish Morgan Freeman was around narrating our lives. Either that or the Truman Show, because that's just a great story. Tough to choose! 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd have to go with some kind of device that makes all my favourite junk foods good for you without affecting the taste! If it wasn't for the fear of losing my teeth I'd eat a terrifying amount of chocolate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I'm a big history nerd and could talk for hours about a bunch of different subjects - be careful not to get me started!

Account Director - Digital Medical Communications Agency - London

A global, award winning Digital Medical Communications agency with creative flair and plenty of new ideas, working at the forefront of their industry with a strong client base and offering opportunities for global travel. My client are now looking for an Account Director looking to push on with their career and work with some of the most exciting projects in the Industry

The Role

  • Contribute to and oversee strategy, development and general management of a variety of digital healthcare projects

  • Responsible for delivering to pre-agreed targets to a set timeline

  • Own and control finances on assigned account(s)

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day management of Account team

  • Pro-actively recommend and acquire new business opportunities both within existing clients and externally



You will be experienced in the management of medical communications accounts with a keen eye for detail and good leadership skills

  • Up to speed with all the latest digital and social media tools/channels

  • Creative approach to problem solving

  • Passion for challenging the status quo
