Following companies and people of interest on LinkedIn, reading updates on MedCommsnetworking and PMLive, and catching up on relevant news on the "health" section of news websites. 

What's your favourite film and why?
I don't really watch films. Does Corrie count??

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
A chocolate-making machine that would be a normal household object to be used daily, like a toaster.

Head of Medical Communications - Boutique Start-Up Comms Agency - London Soho - £80k - £95k

Independent start-up agency with global presence and a highly experienced management team are looking for a Head of Medical Communications or Business Unit Director to lead their new Communications division.


The Company

The board have had experience of launching and building two other successful agencies and are now building a new full service offering for their global clients.

  • Highly experienced board with a wealth of client and industry knowledge

  • Working internationally within Rare Disease, Speciality Medicine and Animal Health

  • Opportunity for the right person to lead the business and/or get to board level

  • Small and agile allowing extremely flexible approach

  • Global agency offering expertise across Advertising, Branding, Strategy, Promotional, Med Comms, Med Ed and Promotion


The Role

To work alongside the 3 Directors to deliver high quality, creative initiatives with existing and new international clients

  • Expand the Medical Communications division so they are on the front foot to convert and deliver work.

  • Hands on role to make sure everything is delivered to an excellent standard.

  • Add value to clients' brief

  • Work on a wide range of projects

  • Collaborate with a wider team of outstanding creative and communication professionals

  • Staff management and development



Must come from Pharma/Healthcare Agency background, high scientific content with this role

  • Client facing and excellent relationship building skills

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and go getter

  • Happy to get stuck in to the day to day to facilitate agency growth

  • Strategic mind able to identify and convert opportunities

  • Deadline driven and organised
