I work as part of the Market Acces, HEOR and Value Comms team at Carrot Pharma Recruitment.

Which area do you specialise in?

I cover all Junior to Mid-Level roles within my sector. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Speaking with candidates and clients on a daily basis, networking with colleagues internally and reading industry news and press releases. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Tough decision between Prisoners and No Country For Old Men - both are excellent films but No Country wins based on intensity and number of times I've watched it. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

Some knowledgeable football pundits for Sky to join Gary Neville.

The Role

Junior Statistician / Epidemiologist - Real World Evidence Consultancy - London - £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus & Benefits.

 

The Client

My client is an international and well established global consultancy with offices and sites across the world. Over recent times their focus has shifted to focusing on their Real World Insights & Real World Evidence teams based in the UK and in Europe. These teams cover their Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Outcomes Research units in the UK and Europe.

They they work in conjunction with the Market Access and Market Research teams in these offices. As part of their continued growth into these areas they are looking to hire junior level statisticians / epidemiologists to add to their teams over the course of the coming weeks and months.

 

I am looking for candidates with the following skills & background.

  • BSc in Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics.
  • MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or Applied Mathematics.
  • Strong statistical programming in R, WinBUGS, OpenBUGS, JAGS or similar.
  • Knowledge of linear models, Bayesian studies, survival analysis.
  • Any experience working in Network Meta-Analysis, Economic Models, SAS, STATA, VBA would also be an advantage.
