Josh Hadfield

Which team do you work in?

I work in the Market Research and Business Intelligence team

Which area do you specialise in?

Junior level Market Research and Fieldwork

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients.

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!

The Role

Great opportunity to establish yourself within an ever-growing sector. You will be trying to make strategic new business contacts in order to promote the companies market research offering. The way the sector works is very little cold, non-strategic calling. Instead, you will be meeting prospective clients at conferences, trying to upsell and cross- sell within existing clients and continually market mapping to identify who is the best person to speak to within the organisations that you are trying to work with.

  • Continue to grow existing accounts and open doors to potential new business.

  • Proactive selling.

  • Creating and executing a strategy with the sales director and head of research.

  • Meeting with clients at conferences and at their Central Europe offices.

  • Experience of working within pharma is essential

  • Ideally, you will have previously sold a market research offering.

  • Strategic thinker.

  • Happy to work independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team.
