The Role

This Medical Writer opportunity will involve the creation of a whole range of deliverables for pharmaceutical clients. The role will offer a great deal of autonomy whilst still working in a supportive team.

  • All team members, including medical writers all get involved with client liaison.

  • Travel opportunities both across the UK and internationally. Recent work trips have included Paris, Basal and Barcelona.

  • Every day in this role is fast-paced and varied!

  • Work on a whole range of interactive and creative projects.

  • This role still has strong science at its core, examples of the therapy areas covered are oncology, rare diseases and diabetes.

 

You

To apply for this Medical Writer role our client was hoping was applicants with the following skills and experiences.

  • At least 6 months med comms agency experience. They also have a more Senior vacancy looking for upwards of 2 years' experience.

  • Educated to degree level in the life-sciences, ideally with masters or PhD.

  • Eager to learn and ambitious

  • Someone who enjoys a varied fast paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and an eye for detail.

I keep up-to-date using groups on LinkedIn and by keeping in regular contact with people currently working in the industry. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I love films, so there's far too many to choose from! If I had to pick one it would probably be the Harry Potter series. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd invent a machine that made me a coffee as soon as I woke up - that would make getting out of bed much easier!

I like to treat everyone as an individual and feel my psychology degree has helped me gain an insight into different people's perspective and motivations.
