How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!

The Role

Business Development Executive for a leading pharma research agency, based in southwest London. Paying up to £32,000 plus the opportunity to make considerable additional bonus.

Internationally recognised pharma research agency, who are continuing to grow and need a business development manager to come in and help grow their offering.

The Role

This role is going to be selling the market research services of my client. You will need to have experience of building and maintaining high level relationships with clients, though this does not need to have happened within pharma. With this being a more strategic and consultative sell then the sales cycle will be longer, there are no quick wins, but when prospective business is converted, it is high value and in turn that means that there are huge potential earning opportunities.

  • Identify, prospect and win new business
  • Opening up doors for the market research directors to meet with prospective clients.
  • Pitch for business alongside therapy area specialists and senior directors
  • Keeping your finger on the button with regards to what is happening in the industry

 

You

An experienced business developer with a fantastic grasp of the pharma sector and a keen passion for new business.

  • Resilience is key
  • Ideally you will have experience of selling market research as a service
  • Experience of selling to pharma companies is key
  • A natural problem solver
  • Happy to work independently
