The Role

Scientific Director - (New!) Medical Communications agency - SW London - Part time 4 days - £70k FTE

A shiny new medical communications agency in South West London are looking for their Scientific Director! Looking for a natural leader - someone passionate about communicating highly scientific content in an educational setting, not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an agency in its infancy, sit on the management team, guide all scientific services, build an editorial team and really make an impact!This role is offered part time for 4 days and 2 can be worked remotely.

This new agency is the medical communications division of a larger Healthcare and Medical network of companies, bringing the excitement and ambition of a start-up, with the backing and support of a network.

The Role

This Scientific Director will work closely with the Client Services function to develop the business, establish standards and internal processes and deliver high quality work to pharmaceutical companies, charities and professional medical associations.

  • Set the strategy with a focus on new business development

  • Build, shape and grow the business

  • Develop client process, SOP's, and how work is reviewed.

  • Research pipeline, maintain and grow accounts

  • Managing resources including editors, writers, producers and graphic designers through the shared services

  • On the Management Team with responsibility for business strategy and growth.

 

You

A senior / lead / principal writer, or maybe a Scientific Team Lead or Scientific Director, excited by the prospect of joining a new venture to set up and run a new agency.

  • A natural leader - someone passionate about communicating highly scientific content in an educational setting.

  • Significant medical communications experience including writing, developing and reviewing high quality scientific materials and working with external experts

  • Ability to interpret data and translate into audience appropriate materials for pre - post-launch activities.

  • Scientific lead ensuring accuracy and integrity of all medical communication and medical education activities.
