How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too. 

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent? 
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

An agency that has changed so much since we started working with them, growing from strength to strength. In the three years that I've personally been working with them (Carrot as a business, much longer), they've won circa 10 awards, opened offices in the US, opened another office in the UK, sprouted three new business units and brought on several high profile new clients, not just within Pharma but right across Healthcare.

It's a genuinely superb time to join the business (I know we always say that!) and the opportunities for career progression and growth are endless. They're looking to bring in digital expertise to one of their business units that focuses on Immunology. This team are collaborating with a client who are developing interesting multichannel programmes, looking to increase their skill within these digital channels for the client.

The Role

  • Proactively manage the digital projects across the immunology business unit - wider company if needed

  • Digest, understand and apply client brand and business strategy

  • Design and deliver multi-platform strategies - apps, mobile, webinars, content etc.

  • Working with email and survey platforms to gather information/results



  • Organised with a keen eye for detail

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Keep up to date with innovation and best practice in the industry

  • Comfortable with budgeting and milestone tracking
