The Role

Market Access Engagement Manager - UK Consultancy (Major US Backing) - London - £75k - £85k + Benefits.

 

The Company

My client is establishing itself as one of the strongest UK Consultancies with a very experienced Senior Leadership team both in the UK & in the US. They have recently brought in a Health Economics Director to help grow and develop their presence in this area and this in addition to their Market Access Consulting Team.

They have developed a fantastic and supportive culture with lots of help and advice given to all staff from Analyst through to Director and with lovely, modern offices they truly want to foster a great environment for people to learn and develop their capabilities within Market Access.

This company is currently one of the most established names within the Market Access / HEOR space in the US so whilst the UK entity is relatively 'new' you will receive the support and backing of the US entity!

 

The Role

Working alongside another Engagement Manager and under the leadership of the UK Market Access Director for the company you will be responsible for assisting clients in the Pharma, Biotech & Medical Device sectors in developing effective Market Access strategies across multiple therapy areas.

You will be leading projects, allocating workstreams, helping more junior team members and being a 'go-to' person within the team for Market Access.

 

You

This is a purely strategic Market Access position so key skills here are as follows:

  • Strategic Market Access experience across EU5 & Global Markets (Ideally within consulting)
  • A range of Market Access knowledge on different therapy areas.
  • Any Value Communications experience a bonus but not essential.
  • Client Engagement and Lead of relevant projects.
  • A relevant MSc in a Lifesciences subject.

I work in the Market Access and Health Economics Team at Carrot providing services across a range of companies with Market Access and Health Economics Capabilities. There is an ever-growing list of skills within these sectors covering Real World Evidence, Health Outcomes and Patient Centered Outcomes amongst others.

What are some of the typical roles you cover?

The typical roles that I tend to cover are Market Access Consultant, Senior Market Access Consultant, Market Access Manager / Director, Health Economist, Senior Health Economist, Health Economics Manager, Health Economics Director alongside roles such as HEOR Consultant & Manager, Real World Evidence Consultant & Patient Centered Outcomes Consultant.

What are the hot issues in your sector currently?

Without doubt the amount of and potential use of Real-World Data & Real-World Evidence is leading to a lot of companies investing heavily in the hope of utilising this data. This is leading to huge advancements in Healthcare Technology in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms which will dramatically alter Healthcare over the coming years.

This is alongside Pharma companies working with various country specific regulators to combat an ever-ageing population, increased demands on national budgets and the need for increased collaboration across local and regional levels.
