Medical Director, Haematology - Global Pharma Company - Surrey - Competitive salary and Excellent Bonus and Benefits

Carrot Pharma Recruitment are working on behalf of dynamic Global Pharma to recruit an experienced GMC Registered Medical Director to join the company within an exciting period of growth product launch.

Founded on scientific knowledge and their relentless pursuit of R&D excellence my client is at the forefront of drug discovery and development. Looking to expand their team my client is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Medic to join and progress within the company.


The Role

Reporting into the Senior Medical Director and General Manager you will lead both strategically and operationally the company's Haematology Portfolio. You will provide Medical Insights on currently marketed products and those in development and due to launch. The role will also involve line management of a team of Medical Science Liaison professionals. Duties within the role will include:

  • Manage and develop UK and Ireland medical affairs team strategy for the Haematology portfolio
  • Work cross-functionally across Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations Market Access, and the Commercial team to attain overall business goals.
  • Work cross functionally with marketing and commercial colleagues to support development and approval of ABPI compliant materials and activities
  • Ensure effective performance management of the MSL team though appropriate objective setting with regular progress review and coaching
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Key External Experts in the allocated therapy areas, providing them with relevant medical and scientific information



To be considered for this role all applicants are required to:

  • Hold a Medical degree and have GMC Registration
  • Experience of working with Haematology / Haematology-oncology
  • Hold final signatory status with experience within the UK/ EU
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a Management role within the Pharmaceutical Industry
