The Company

Carrot Pharma are recruiting for a Medical Director specialising in Immunology. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Global Pharma company who have a number of market leading products covering Oncology, Haematology, Neuroscience and Immunology therapeutic areas.


The Role

In position as, Medical Director you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of the Immunology Medical Affairs team. Arranging regular personal development plans for your direct line reports.
  • Overseeing the Medical strategy development and overseeing of activities within therapy area.
  • Develop training material and conduct team training as well as providing ongoing support and mentoring.
  • To offer support and guidance on EMEA strategies, plans and tactics to ensure that they aligned with the UK market.
  • You will be responsible for implementing compliance processes and protocols to ensure that the team are compliant with Codes of Practice.
  • You will be heavily involved in the recruitment process, conducting interviews, and helping to prepare interview materials.



As the Medical Director you must have the below:

  • GMC Registered, ideally Final Signatory status
  • Strong line management and leadership skills
  • In depth, Medical Affairs and Clinical background.
  • Extensive knowledge within therapeutic area.

I focus on roles in Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I participate in, and follow, industry news and conferences, such as DIA, and get involved in LinkedIn groups around my sectors. I learn mostly from day to day conversations with people working in these sectors.

What's your favourite film and why?

Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Shows my age but it's LOL before LOL was even invented! 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

The ability to add extra hours into a day when you want to. And also the option to buy extra patience with small children!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I've started trying acroyoga and adult gymnastics.….injuries are sure to follow! In business, I always want to make sure we are striving for improvement and doing things differently to other companies in ways that benefit our clients and candidates. Carrot is different by name and by nature!
