The Company

We are recruiting for an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join a fantastic Leading Pharmaceutical Company who are privately owned and have a World Class reputation for developing market leading products within a multitude of therapy areas.


The Role

This Medical Science Liaison role is a great permanent opportunity within a well-known and reputable company. You will be responsible for:

  • Provide medical and scientific support in response to specific requests from healthcare professionals for further information around company's product portfolio, clinical development program, or therapy area(s) of interest

  • Management of UK investigator initiated trial (IIT) applications, ensuring that all IIT applications are carried out in compliance with applicable UK regulations and company's SOP's

  • Attend relevant national and international scientific meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of therapy area, gather competitive intelligence, and respond to any specific enquiries from healthcare professionals

  • Provide support and training to the sales force and other departments as necessary

  • Ensure all activities and interactions are conducted in compliance with applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct company policies and accepted standards of best practice



To be considered for this Medical Science Liaison role, you need to have:

  • Medical OR pharmacy degree, or higher science degree (i.e. MSc, PhD)

  • High level of knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice

  • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders

  • Good working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance

  • Good working knowledge of the clinical trial process, including the regulations pertaining to phase III/IV clinical study management and conduct

Speaking with candidates and clients daily keeps me updated on any industry changes or news, and getting involved in LinkedIn groups as well as reading relevant news articles also helps.

What's your favourite film and why?

Shawshank Redemption. It teaches you to never give up and have resilience. "Hope is a dangerous thing."

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

A machine that instantly gives you a makeover and blow dry without spending hours in front of the mirror. It can all be very time consuming!
