The Role

Medical Writer (Any Level) - Med Comms - Greater Manchester / Cheshire - £reflective of level

After several new business wins and an incredibly successful 2018, this is an exciting time to join this south Manchester based medical communications agency as they expand their teams across the business. We will consider experienced Medical Writers at any level from a Medical Communications agency background, Medical Writer, Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer.

 

The Company

Independently owned, 30-person company, offering a highly varied workload and the opportunity to gain exposure in areas of interest. Working across a variety of therapy areas, mainly rare diseases but also Ophthalmology, Gastrointestinal, hepatology, Infectious Diseases - Vaccines, Neurology - pain management, CNS products, CV products, Antimicrobial resistance and Antibiotics

  • Opportunities to work across a number of deliverables including slide kits, training materials, monographs, manuscripts, commercial work, patient leaflets, client strategy workshops, message development, competitor analysis, ad boards, investigator meetings and publications (approx. 20% of the work)

The Role

As the Medical Writer, you will have a varied role, but your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the production of high-quality scientific and educational materials

  • Assist clients in fulfilling their communications objectives, including client liaising when required

  • Writing and managing projects across a range of therapy areas and deliverables, as listed in the company information above

  • Mentoring more junior team members

 

You

To be considered for this Medical Writer vacancy you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working within a medical communications agency for a minimum of 18 months is essential

  • Currently working at either Medical Writer, Senior Medical Writer or Principal Medical Writer level

  • Life sciences degree as a minimum, MSc or PhD preferred

  • Excellent project, time and organisation management skills

  • A team work mentality
