Which team do you work in? 

Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.


The Role

Product Specialist (Stoma Care) (12 mth FTC) - West Midlands, Home Counties, West/North West London - £35k basic


The Company

Family-owned company established for over 30 years with a reputation for providing innovative stoma care products and a leading home care delivery service. The culture of the company is to encourage a 'partnership' with Clinicians and the patient; as a Territory Manager you will be developing exceptionally close relationships with your customers with the outcome for the patient being the most important factor.

Your manager will be supportive and provide any required assistance in enabling you to be a top performing and successful Product Specialist. This role will suit someone who doesn't want to work in a restrictive, corporate environment but who wants to be accountable for running a successful territory and allowed autonomy and responsibility.


The Role

  • Products: Stoma care and home care delivery service.

  • Territory: Birmingham, Warwickshire, Home Counties, West/North West London, Wiltshire.

  • Sales Environment: Hospitals and the Community, inc. CCGs/Medicines Management.

  • Customers: Stoma Care Nurses, Procurement, Commissioners.

  • Fixed term 12 month contract.



  • You will be a conscientious and hard working Territory Manager/Product Specialist who has a real desire to work in partnership with your customers and in a grown-up, non-restrictive/corporate environment.

  • Experience of working in the stoma market would naturally be of interest but is certainly not a prerequisite for the job.

  • The company will consider medical sales experience gained within different product areas, including pharmaceuticals.

  • A knowledge of working within both the acute and community sectors will be welcomed.

  • The company will also seriously consider an RGN qualified Nurse who can demonstrate a commercial outlook and excellent relationship-building skills.
