Which team do you work in? 

Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

Territory Manager Orthopaedics - £50k + £30k - North West

 

The Company

One of the UK's leading orthopaedic extremity and trauma companies. Design and manufacture orthopaedic implants and devices, specialising in upper and lower limb extremities showing rapid year on year sales growth.

  • Huge sales growth via innovative product lines and a pipeline of new products being brought to market.
  • Territory sales are strong, but there remains significant potential for further growth (up to 400%!).
  • Can offer an excellent career development pathway - involved in mentoring from the start with a view to moving into sales management.

 

The Role

Selling the company's trauma and elective product portfolio (upper and lower limb extremities) to Clinicians and into Procurement.

  • Products: Orthopaedic trauma and extremity implants.
  • Territory: Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales.
  • Customers: Orthopaedic Surgeons and associated Theatre staff, Procurement, Hospital Management.

 

You

  • Must have experience of selling to Orthopaedic Surgeons.
  • Ideally will be looking for a mentoring role with a view to moving into Sales Management.
  • Ability to manage key accounts in such a way as to result in strong organic sales growth.
