How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Attending events and meeting candidates and clients is a fantastic way of engaging with my sector and really getting to know people, companies and their motivations. This, alongside keeping up-to-date with MedComms Networking and PMLive articles. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I'm not the biggest of movie buffs but one of my favourites is Lars Von Trier's 'Dancer in the Dark'. It stars Bjork and I'm quite a big Bjork fan!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I would invent a mode of transport which is, essentially, a large rollercoaster. It would make my commute to work that bit more enjoyable.

I try not to make assumptions on people and get to know everyone on an individual basis.

Senior Account Manager - Healthcare Communications Agency - Manchester - Up to £45 DOE

My client is a highly reputed Medical Communications group that deliver high-science materials to a Global pharmaceutical client base. They have locations from the UK and Europe, to North America, East Asia and Australia! Despite their vast reach, the agency can offer smaller specialist sub-agencies, each their own ethos, and giving you the opportunity to work on projects from large-scale, established projects to smaller, innovative start-ups! The Role

This is an Account Manager role, managing and maintain the client relationship as the day to day contact. As such, you will be prepared to use scientific and commercial experience to develop and implement concepts and ideas that support the clients marketing objectives, alongside keeping fully up to date on any internal or external developments or changes that could affect the project.

  • Working closely with clients in order to ensure strong relationships are maintained

  • Working with the production teams on projects to make sure timelines are met

  • Working on a range of deliverables including events and medical educational materials

  • Strategic planning and guidance

  • Some business development support when necessary



This agency only work with the best talent, and you will be joining a team of established Medical Communications specialists. As such, you would be required to have a life-sciences background from a well-reputed University, to at least BSc level. You should also be able to exhibit a real passion for science/pharmaceuticals and an ability to build a rapport with a high-profile client base

  • Flexible and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time

  • Excellent management skills and the ability to lead a team

  • Strong delivery and time management skills

  • Efficient and well organised

  • Bsc in a life sciences degree is essential for this role; a Msc or PhD? Even better!
