Speaking to candidates and clients on a daily basis allows me to keep up-to-date with changes and news in my industry. I also find LinkedIn groups and professional journals are invaluable for keeping on top of industry topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Tim Burton's Big Fish has to be my go-to film of choice. An over the top, fantastical and emotional story of epic proportions full of weird and quirky touches...escapism at it's finest!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

If I could invent one thing it would be to make the Replicator from Star Trek a reality - I love food but hate cooking after a busy day in the office so this would be ideal!

Having studied art I like to think I look at things with a creative twist and have the ability to look beyond the obvious. This is helpful when it comes to guiding and advising candidates and clients to overcome potential problems and arrive at the best conclusion for all.

The Role

Due to recent expansion this Clinical Research Nurse opportunity is available in Manchester. You will gain exposure to a variety of clinical studies, ensuring care of study participants whilst carrying out a range of clinical activities:

  • Overseeing the day to day activities of the study; administering all drugs and/or devices
  • Using Nursing knowledge and experience to ensure a high standard of care for volunteers
  • Collecting and processing data following strict guidelines
  • Observing participant well-being and potential adverse-effects
  • Maintaining records and recording data within strict guidelines



To be successful for this Clinical Research Nurse position you should have RGN status with an active PIN number, a good foundation of clinical experience preferably within the NHS and be committed to providing the highest standards of care:

  • Knowledge and current experience of general nursing
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Be actively involved in promoting standards in the workplace to ensure patient welfare at all times
