What's your favourite film and why?
I don't really watch films. Does Corrie count??

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
A chocolate-making machine that would be a normal household object to be used daily, like a toaster.

CME Medical Writer - CME Programmes - Central Manchester - £30k - £35k

A rare and very exciting CME Medical Writer vacancy available for someone with a scientific background interested in developing content for Continuing Medical Education programmes. These programmes facilitate learning and the continued professional development of Healthcare professionals across the industry.


The Company

Based in central Manchester, 5 minutes' walk from Piccadilly train station, this company design, develop and deliver CME accredited programmes with measured outcomes, to enhance knowledge and improve clinical practice within the healthcare industry.

  • Respond to RFP's to secure independent funding for medical education activities.

  • Support leading medical experts with the development and delivery of high-quality, effective, accurate and un-bias scientific content.

  • Advise medical experts to ensure their delivery of educational content follows CME good practice procedures.

  • Ensure CME compliance standards are met


The Role

Medical Writer with an interest in CME, who wants to join a close-knit team who are entrepreneurial in spirit yet meticulous to detail.

  • Identify and engage with KOL's and medical experts. Develop a strong network of local people who work for The Christie and Universities.

  • As the role involves developing independent medical education you will have exposure to a broad mix of faculty.

  • Able to write persuasive, creative text, with avid attention to detail, grammar and style.

  • Able to think outside the box and put forward interesting ideas for programme development.

  • Some elements of project management to manage, schedule and track your own projects.

  • Get up to speed on CME compliance to ensure proper documentation and files management.



A Biomedical science graduate with some further study, research or industry experience.

  • Strong editorial skills

  • A genuine interest in working in the field of Continuing Medical Education

  • Able to develop detailed and potentially complex content across a variety of therapeutic areas.

  • Interested in researching new therapeutic areas.

  • Comfortable working in a small, cohesive team with a flat hierarchy.

  • Autonomous, independent thinker, able to self-manage.
